M! - London, UK

M! is a vocalist, dj, producer, writer and promoter who moved over to UK from Slovenia 6 years ago and instantly dropped the Borat accent for London twang.

She is a trained flautist and jazz singer, but had been lured into the joys of electronic music at a very early age, scratch-destroying her dad's precious Kraftwerk LPs and old-skool equipment. Having started djing ten years ago, playing electro, techno and experimental electronica in and around Slovenia, M! has since fallen in love with London's roots, ska and dancehall vibes and started writing many a reggae-infused tune with a touch of Dilla-inspired beats in the background.

Currently, M! also works under the name of 8Bitch, making and djing a vast range of bass music-from dubstep, electro, crunk and techno, as well as dabbling in more experimental production-all whilst still singing to sunny reggae melodies. M! also writes for a variety of music publications as a music, club and technology reviewer.
